Day 1 : Guwahati-Shillong
You will be picked up at the airport/railway station and then drive to Shillong (3 hours), the capital of the state of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi tribe. Shillong has rightly earned the sobriquet of "Scotland of the East" owing to the rolling hills, beautiful scenery and climate. On the way you will visit the beautiful Umiam Lake, a major tourist attraction located just before entering Shillong, you can visit the local market and visit Don Bosco Monument which is a 7 storey monument where you can have a glimpse of culture and tradition of North-East and Lady Hydri Park. Check-in the Hotel and rest of the day in leisure.
Day 2 : Shillong-Cheerapunjee
In the morning you will visit Secrad Grove Forest, Shillong peak and get a bird's eye view of the entire city of Shillong and then go to Elephanta falls. Then drive to Cherrapunjee, the erstwhile rainiest place in the world. On the way, experience the beautiful rolling hills and night stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 3 : Cheerapunjee
Today morning after breakfast we will visit Dynthelen water fall, Thangkharang Park, or you can also go for trek to Double Decker Bridge. It is a track of 3 KM which consist of 3200 steps. On the way to Living Root Bridge you’ll have a view of blue hills, hanging bridge, and waterfalls. Reach Root Bridge and enjoy the moment and climb up to starting point.
Day 4 : Cheerapunjee-Dawki-Mawlynnong-Shillong
Drive from Cheerapunjee to Mawlynnong, a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as God's own garden too. Go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You can visit Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh View point and the longest Living Root bridge. You will then visit Dawki and river Umgnot, with pictures of crystal clear waters popular in the social media. Night stay at Shillong.
Day 5 : Shillong-Guwahati Depart
Early morning after breakfast process Guwahati and (IF TIME PERMITS)visit the Maa Kamakhya Temple,which is located at the top of Nilachal Hills From where you can have an eagle eye view of the whole city then drive to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey home.
